On
October 9, 2008 brother Don and his wife Sharon drove us from Houston to San
Antonio to visit our cousin Edna Sue Pitts. Edna lives just south of San Antonio,
in Von Ormy, TX. She is the daughter of Uncle Wilbern and Aunt Mattie Love.
These photos were all taken at downtown San Antonio's famous
Riverwalk area. We did a little walking around and then took the boat ride
down the river and back.Afterwards we had a lovely dinner at one of the resturants
by the river!
These
photos were all taken the next day at cousin Edna Sue's home.The photo on the
left is myself and wife Marlene with cousin Edna. In the middle photo, left
to right is sister Le Verle, brother Don, Edna and Don's wife Sharon and I!
On the right is a photo of Don and Sharon with Edna as we were saying goodbye!
Edna is now 84 years old and lives alone. Her son Jimmy has a mobile home on
the site, but he has had a stroke and was in a VA Hospital. We were concerned
about her care, but with the help of several members of the local Baptist Church
helping, she seemed to be well organized, and cared for!
After
our visit with cousin Edna, we drove north to Kingsland, TX for time with cousin
Mamie and her husband Dieter!!
