Texas Trip 2004

On our last evening there Mamie prepared a wonderful German meal for all of us. Sharon, Leverle & Don.

Sharon is in a party mode, and the rest of us are in a take it easy mode!

Below Captain Mamie is launching us off for a ride on their boat in the Canal that run’s in back of their Condo. Mamie's sister Barbara Braun is seated behind Dieter.

After leaving Corpus Christi, the next day we drove to Twin Valley, near San Antonio to visit my cousin Edna Sue “Love” Pitts, she had a full blown feast for us at lunch. After a good visit with Edna and her son Jimmie, we went on to San Antonio where my sister Leverle had the evening planned! It was a shopping tour of the Mexican district and a sumptuous dinner at a large restaurant in the complex Then we caught the Trolley uptown, where I took this photo. We then went on a boat ride along the San Antonio River with the other tourists. After the boat ride it was our turn to have a double dip of ice cream and watch people ride by in the boats. An enjoyable evening for sure!! The next morning it was back home to Deer Park.

A rare moment for most families, all of Don’s family showed up that evening to Welcome us back and say Goodbye as we were leaving the next morning to come back to Ramona, Ca.
